Thus Concludes the Birthday Festivities

So my birthday celebration pretty much spanned five days...

Technically my birthday celebration actually started on Wednesday. It was kind of impromptu, but fun. JohnRoss and I grabbed some dinner, because he was flying to New York the next day, MY BIRTHDAY, because of choir. But I forgive him because he is my brother and I love him. All I asked is that he find me a cool shot glass. He told me he'd bring me a whole set of the, ha ha.

Then on Thursday at work I'm there for about 10 minutes and this delivery guy comes in with a HUGE bouquet of roses. 25 to be exact. And cupcakes with '25' on them in purple. My mom is AMAZING. I was not expecting that at all. I called her right away and she said she'd wanted to surprise me and come down but it just didn't work out because of her job. The flowers were a great sub but I would much rather she been here. Although, she and Grandma and Grandpa will be here the weekend of the 9th to see the Nebraska/Texas Tech game. And of course we will go to Red Lobster and it will be delicious. Too bad Teetz isn't here, it just won't be quite the same.

After work Shelly and I were planning on just going to Sandy's to have a pitcher of Elk Creek. It wasn't going to be anything crazy because there was work the next day. We ended up going to Chaser's instead because Jake was working, and that one or two drinks I was planning on turned into more and more and more. Jake was making drinks left and right for us, and not mixing them with anything, these were pure alcohol. Chaser's used to be Cliff's, and if you know anything about the Kamikazes at Cliff's...damn. That's all I need to say. Plus there were random shots of Absolut Kurrant (UGH!) and what did me in at the very end of the night was the Long Island. Thanks Jake. Friday I slept until almost 3 PM. And I had to work at 5. It was interesting.

Friday was very low-key and I did not really do much that day for my birthday, just hung out. I still needed to recover from Thursday.

Saturday was awesome. I was scheduled to work 4-8:30 but Tom was cool and let me go at 7:45, after he'd spent the whole night telling me we were going to be there late. I was ecstatic. So I went home to get ready, we went out, it was a lot of fun and I got to see so many friends who I hadn't seen in a while. Ben and Mandy were back from Antigua and incredibly tan and it made me jealous, but her ring is gorgeous. Knappster and Michelle came, Swid, Pam and Kenny, Kelsey and his friend Matt, Shelly, Josh, just lots of people. Eventually we went to Iggy's and gained and lost some people, Tom finally showed up near the end, but of course more to see Ben and Mandy, go figure. Iggys' actually wasn't so bad that night, I was surprised. Less douchebaggery than in a while. I did get in an argument with some girl though who knew Shelly and Josh (she was sitting at the table behind us.) I'd said 'Fuck off' to someone and she thought I was talking to her so she goes, "Don't tell me to fuck off, it's my birthday." I told her it was my birthday too and to fuck off because I wasn't even talking to her. She kept trying to argue with me about it and finally I just turned back to me table and laughed. That made her mad and she kept trying to provoke me but you know what, I was having way too much fun to deal with that retard. We left before closing to get to Lazari's in time to beat the crowd and I had delicious pizza that I haven't had in a long time. It made me miss Teetz even more because the last time I was there was with him and Brian and some randoms. Come to think of it, that was the night Brian was being a pissy little baby and when I asked him what was wrong he responded with the dumbest statement ever, "If Teetz was straight you two would be dating." THAT was entertaining.

Anyway.

The birthday festivities will conclude tonight when Tim and I go out for dinner at Buzzard Billy's. I haven't seen him in a while and he was watching fights last night and it didn't get done until it was hardly worth it to even come downtown. So, we will have dinner instead. Yay.
